Giordano Lombardo

After a degree in oenology and few experiences in some large wineries Giordano Lombardo, converted on the road to Damascus, started his own winery based on organic and biodynamic principles. The estate is composed by 11.5 hectares scattered around the Medieval village of Gavi, surrounded by woodland and are obviously farmed without any chemical intervention. Here the soil is rich in minerals (iron & magnesium) and is the perfect habitat for the Cortese grape. The wines are pure, fresh and agile and -thanks to a long ageing on the lees- they have structure and a generous mouthfeel not often encountered in the Gavi appellation.
