Langhe Nebbiolo
Dogliani
Barbaresco
There is no mistaking the quality here. It all makes sense when you discover the fruit is destined to make Barbaresco, sourced from the 50:50 Starderi and Currà cru. Seriously good. Call it a cheap Barbaresco instead of a Langhe Nebbiolo.
Perfume and energy with divine mouthfeel. Juicy, thirst quenching and still with plenty more to come!

Dogliani is the Dolcetto produced by Francesco, from grapes come from a small plot of old vines located in the Borgata Pamparato between the town of Dogliani and Belvedere Langhe, which Francesco acquired in order to diversify and pay homage to the terroir of the Langhe.
From this particularly suitable area, we obtain an atypical Dolcetto with great personality, very concentrated and balanced, with softer and silkier tannins. The colour is intense ruby red with purple highlights, while on the nose the red fruit (plum and black cherry) dominates, accompanied by light floral and mineral notes. In the mouth the wine offers great harmony and a pleasant freshness on the finish.

Francesco Versio's Barbaresco was born in the municipality of Neive, coming from two different crus, San Cristoforo and Currà. Aged for 24 months in large barrels, it is a wine of beautiful fullness, articulated and enveloping on the palate, perfect to accompany even the most traditional dishes of Piedmontese cuisine.

Definitely the brightest rising star in Barbaresco, the thirty-something Francesco Versio has an incredible résumé: a degree in oenology, cellar master in Bruno Giacosa, now wine maker in Luigi Oddero. In 2012 Francesco started to produce his own wines from his grandfather vineyards, located in the San Cristoforo and Currà crus, and buying grapes from some trusted friends. Wines of pure classicism, elegance and depth, firmly rooted in the Langhe tradition.
