Grüner Veltliner
A lively style of grüner, this shows what Austria's signature grape variety can do in the warmer Burgenland region. Fleshy orchard fruits mingle with bright citrus aromas and just the merest hint of peppery spice. Meinklang like to keep things fresh and zippy, so it finishes cool and lifted at 11% abv.

A blend of welschriesling, pinot gris and gewürztraminer with up to a week of skin contact. Bright and vivacious, with intense aromatics of grapefruit peel, peach tea and rose petals undercut by savoury salinity.
Mulatschak is apparently a word of Hungarian origin meaning funky and raucous entertainment...!

Zweigelt 'Graupert'
Referring to an unkempt person in need of a haircut, 'Graupert' is the result of wild-grown, unpruned vines from the Meinklang estate. Despite producing more bunches than pruned vines, the vines self-regulate their yield by making smaller berries with more intense flavours. There is also a greater skin-to-pulp ratio, translating to a deep, richly textured and tannic expression of zweigelt.

Meinklang
At Meinklang, wine is not made in a prescriptive way or manipulated to meet expectations, but they are consistently delicious. This farm is home to three generations of the Michlits family and also to vines, cows, fruit trees, flowers, weeds, insects… A holistic system in which every element is interconnected. From the lighter, easy-going blends up to the more serious varietal reds – including the wild, unpruned ‘Graupert’ – the wines are joyful, layered and complex.
