Vega de Tera

The goal of Vega de Tera is to make benchmark, high-quality wines that are typical of the region. They focus on verdejo and tempranillo, the cornerstones of wine production in Castilla y León. The grapes are harvested manually from vines up to 60 years old. Due to the iron-rich, sandy soils, this area has never seen phylloxera and all the vines are ungrafted. The commitment to quality continues to the cellar, where fermentations are carried out using native yeast – a rarity at this price point. It’s not often we find wines that combine balance, exuberance and affordability to this degree, and they are a welcome addition to our Spanish range.
